Your CV: GCSE Short Courses
There is often some confusion when it comes to writing your CV over how you should list your short courses.
Often people make lists of their GCSE courses under the heading ‘GCSE’ and just stick their grade next to it, like this:
GCSEs
Mathematics - A
But what are you meant to do when it’s a short course? And can you even count it among the GCSEs you have done?
Because a short course GCSE is still a GCSE, you can still list it under the title GCSEs. You can also count it as one of the GCSE subjects you’ve studied in your CV or wherever.
It’s up to you whether you list something like, say, a short course in RE as:
GCSEs
Religious Studies - A
or
GCSEs
Religious Studies (short) - A
That’s information which is down to you. It might imply it’s a full course, but it doesn’t make it perfectly clear.
